About

The human body is the foundation of my work. I see it as something fragile, yet elastic adn resilient. Besides the fact that it’s essential in my photographic work it’s also my biggest inspiration. I find the performative aspect of the body super interesting. For me, image-making is creating an extended world in which I can discover new expressions and examine queer identity.

I always start with an intuitive way of image-making in which I use photography and/or film.
Another key part of my practice is transformation. It begins as an intention and unfolds after the initial act of making. By physically layering and merging images, I create new, unfamiliar forms: shapes that resist fixed categories and defy expectations. It allows me to create new images in a playful and meaningful way.

In my work I try to research what it means to feel free and how that freedom can be shaped, shown, or hidden. I explore how fragility and physicality can be expressed in a tactile way. Through this process, I explore new ways of experiencing the body — as something changeable, performative, and expressive.
